Silky Sanctuary terms

Package based on a three-night stay over the dates Thursday October 9 to Sunday October 12, 2025. All rates quoted in Australian Dollars and inclusive of 10% GST. Rates on the Silky Sanctuary package start from $4,995 single share or $6,090 twin share in a Rainforest Retreat. Optional bespoke wellness menu activities are at an additional charge. Package is subject to availability, not combinable with any other offer. Retreat is limited to 10 guests.

  • Check-in / Check-out times

    Check-in time is from 2pm. Check-out time is 10.30am. Where possible, flexibility with early check-in and late check-out will be provided, however, these are unable to be guaranteed. The facilities of the main lodge are available for enjoyment whilst at the property.

  • Rates and inclusions

    All rates quoted in Australian Dollars and inclusive of 10% GST. Rates apply per suite, per night for a maximum of two guests. Extra Person rate available. A stay at the lodge is inclusive of tropical breakfast, dinner with inspired daily menu matched with selected premium wines (a cellarmasters list is available at an additional cost), signature evening drinks’ hour (including snacks), selected in-suite bar, exclusive access to the Fig Tree Rapids walking trails, morning yoga class and one return scheduled shuttle to Port Douglas per day.

  • Extra person rate

    Extra Person rate applies when staying in the same suite with a minimum of two guests (subject to maximum suite occupancy).

  • Airport transfers

    Private vehicle transfers between Cairns Airport or nearby Port Douglas and Silky Oaks Lodge may be arranged with a preferred operator. Helicopter transfers from Cairns Airport to Silky Oaks’ helipad may also be arranged. Additional costs apply for all road and air transfers.

  • Special dietary needs

    As Silky Oaks Lodge is situated in a remote destination, it’s essential to advise any special dietary needs at the time of reservation. We will do our best to tailor menus accordingly whilst providing opportunity to enjoy a diverse range of premium regional produce. Should notice not be provided in advance, our chefs will endeavour to prepare suitable meals with the ingredients available. We regret we are unable to prepare meals requiring strict religious observance in the preparation.

  • Payment policy

    A credit card is required to confirm a reservation. Full prepayment is required one month prior to arrival. We accept Visa, Mastercard or American Express or direct deposit. Payments by Visa, Mastercard and American Express attract a 1.6% surcharge (surcharges subject to change).

  • Peak season deposit policy

    All bookings over the Christmas/New Year period 22 December to January 4 inclusive, must be secured with a non-refundable deposit of one night’s accommodation within 14 days of reservation.

  • Cancellation policy

    Bookings may be cancelled or amended prior to one month from arrival without forfeiture. Cancellations and booking amendments received within one month of arrival forfeit all monies paid.

    No refunds or credits can be given in the event of non-arrival, any unused services, or unused nights due to travel and/or weather disruption. For peace of mind, we recommend you protect yourself with comprehensive travel insurance to cover any cancellation fees.

  • Child policy

    Silky Oaks Lodge welcomes children ten years and over.

  • Group policy

    At Silky Oaks Lodge a group is defined as five or more suites travelling together. As an intimate property, some special conditions apply to group bookings. View our leisure group policy.
